Icy lake (click on the photos to see them full size)

Yesterday we had a wonderful afternoon walking on the icy lake of Saint Point (7,2 km- 0,8 km ) ! It was amazingly beautiful ( walking on a lake and cross it , was a little frightening, walking on water is not natural , and our first steps was unconfident but at the end it was magical !) and for the first time i heard the ice singing ...Have you had such an experience like that ? It was difficult to choose the photos to post ...

I can imagine your feelings :)
but be really careful on the ice, it can be unpredictable, if there is some creek near, the ice is very fragile!
Enjoy!
The photos are all great!
I do my collages by a free software PhotoScape.
nice week to you!

Lovely winter photos. A frozen lake is fun for ice skating and ice fishing. Winter is pretty!

How beautiful! These photos are absolutely gorgeous! I would have been so nervous walking on the ice. But I guess the danger adds to the experience. I can't imagine what singing ice sounds like. You were lucky to get to do this walk!

I wouldn't like it to happen here, but it surely is beautiful! :-)

Whoa you're brave! I don't think I've ever experienced lake ice thick enough to walk on.

Very pretty bird! More pleasant to sit on the ice than to slip and fall. ;)

I like the second picture wit the parent and child in the middle of that big lake. Especially nice when enlarged.
